DAVID SIGAL started his musical studies at the age of four with Adolf Baller in 1966 and gave his first recital two years later. From 1968-1974, Mr. Sigal was the accompanist for the San Francisco Boy's Chorus under Madi Bacon and the late Calvin Simmons. In 1970, 1972 and 1973, he toured Mexico under the auspices of the US State Department. In 1971, he was awarded First Prize from the Pepsi-Cola/San Francisco Symphony Awards. He studied with the late Calvin Simmons, and was pianist for the West Opera Theatre and the San Francisco Opera. In 1976-77, Mr. Sigal studied in Jerusalem with Leon Fleischer. Mr. Sigal continued his studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City with Philip Kawin and Constance Keene. In addition to recital and orchestral engagements in Korea, Argentina and Puerto Rico. Mr. Sigal performs regularly with Four Seasons Concerts in Oakland and in San Francisco. In November 1999, he gave his San Francisco debut recital under the auspices of Four Seasons Concerts. |
