JEONGEUN YOM was born in Korea , proud nation of a 5000 year old history.  She has performed numerous recitals and participated in many music festivals including The Choir Festival at Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall in 2002.

Ms. Yom began her studies as a solo pianist, but as she worked with singers, her interest shifted to the art of accompanying.  In May 2003, she was awarded Master's degree in accompanying from Manhattan School of Music where she studied with established collaborative pianist Kenneth Merrill.

Jeongeun Yom coached singers for the preparation of "Shall the World Become Mute? (Opera Scenes)" and accompanied the choir for the production of Wildschütz by Lortzing. In the spring of 2003, she performed a concert version of Don Giovanni under Kenneth Merrill's direction.  In addition, she has played in many masterclasses with artists such as Martina Arroyo, Lucia Albanese, Fedora Barbieri and Martin Katz.

Jeongeun Yom has her Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University in Korea and a Master's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles where she studied with the legendary Johana Harris.
