RAFAEL LEBRON studied at the University of Puerto Rico and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  Some roles he has performed are Gerard in Andre Chenier, Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana, The Devil and Daniel Webster and the contemporary oratorio Bayoan by Roberto Sierra.  He was the principal baritone in Sierra's opera El Mensajero de Plata and has sung Berlioz' L'Enfance du Christ and Lelio, Milhaud's Les Chloephores, Cantata by Aponte-Ledee, Mahler's Eighth Symphony and Des Knaben Wunderhorn, Debussy's L'Enfant Prodigue, Handel's Messiah and Rachmaninoff's The Bells. He performed in Orff's Carmina Burana for his Avery Fisher Hall debut. He has sung in major theaters across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Italy, France, Brazil and Israel.

He has toured with the Boston Opera under the direction of Sarah Caldwell, and sang in Faust with Opera de San Juan.  He debuted with the Connecticut Grand Opera, and sang in La Boheme in Paris with the Cincinnati Opera.  He performed in three operas at Carnegie Hall and sang in the premiere performances of Mary Dyer by Richard Owen, the Uruguayan opera Marta Gruni by Lamarque-Pons and the Puerto Rican street opera Rican by William Ortiz (sung at Carnegie Hall with the American Composer's Orchestra under the baton of Tania Leon) . Mr. LeBron has performed with Israel Vocal Arts Institute, the Bronx Arts Ensemble, the Seattle Symphony, and the Puerto Rico Symphony. His latest CD recording, Apasionadamente, is available on the Equus label.
